Activity Report

June 9, 2023

Statistics have been maintained since November 2003 to help in managing the net. As of this writing, one hundred eighty-nine reports have been filed. Not one month has been missed! Here, for example, the manager can see the effects of solar flux on activity and monitor message handling. In each list, data for the current month is highlighted in red.

Reporting Process

Each evening after the net session, the Net Control Station tallys up the number of checkins, and the number of messages handled. This data is given to the Recorder, another net officer. At months end the Recorder tallys up these totals and the number of sessions held during the month and sends this to the net Webmaster. Solar flux is looked up and the four bits of information, checkin count, message count, session count and solar flux are added to a data file. When one of the report links is clicked a report is instantly generated from that data.
